Crumpling Damaged Graphene
Through molecular mechanics we find that non-covalent interactions modify the fractality of crumpled damaged graphene. Pristine graphene membranes are damaged by adding random vacancies and carbon-hydrogen bonds. Crumpled membranes exhibit a fractal dimension of 2.71 ± 0.02 when all interactions between carbon atoms are considered, and 2.30 ± 0.05 when non-covalent interactions are suppressed. ...
متن کاملOn the crumpling of polycrystalline graphene by molecular dynamics simulation.
Crumpled graphene has been emerging as a valuable component for a variety of devices such as supercapacitors or hydrophobic surface coatings due to its geometric change from a 2D to a 3D structure accompanied by changes in its material behavior. As polycrystalline graphene is easier to produce than pristine graphene, certain applications of crumpled graphene may be better suited to polycrystall...
متن کاملParameters Affecting Electricity Generation by a Photovoltaic Direct Current Micro-grid Connected to Electricity Network
Paying attention to the increasing concerns of global warming, environmental crisis and energy, International research and Development has extended to sustainable energy systems. In this research,Applied method for optimizing the installation space of photovoltaic system Due to the limited space in the buildings of the country's cities, As the effect of the shadow on the efficiency of the panel,...
متن کاملControlled crumpling of graphene oxide films for tunable optical transmittance.
The delamination buckling approach provides a facile means to dynamically control the optical transmittance of extremely flexible and stretchable graphene oxide coatings with fast response time. Such graphene oxide coatings can be deposited by scalable solution-processing methods for potential applications in dynamic glazing.
متن کاملIrreversible crumpling of graphene from hydrostatic and biaxial compression
We perform molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the irreversibility of crumpled graphene obtained by hydrostatic or biaxial compression. Our results show that there is a critical degree of crumpling, above which the crumpling is irreversible after the external force is removed. The critical degree of irreversible crumpling is closely related to the self-adhesion phenomenon of graphene,...
